While classes can sometimes be like a "one size fits all" t-shirt, private sessions are customized to your needs and can be done in the convenience of your own home. To support your own practice, I will supply you with audio and video which is included in the cost. Typically, an initial session is 75 minutes with successive sessions at 60 minutes. Costs are $100 for one session; 3 for $200, and 6 for $$350.

In a busy, fragmented world, we can find ourselves reduced to roles- worker, boss, parent, child, citizen, friend. We can view our bodies as separate entities with distinct parts- a torn muscle, an aching back, a throbbing headache. What is vital to our health and well being is to move beyond the fragmentation and separation to see the essential connection of mind, body and spirit as well as our connection to every living being. Yoga is a vehicle to discover our essential oneness.
On a very practical level we can see that hip pain can be related to our feet, headaches can be related to how we breathe and back pain is connected to our posture. Beyond the physical we can learn how our reactions to emotions or stressors can affect muscle tension, our heart rate and our blood pressure. By feeding our connection to spirit we can realize an inner peace that allows us to live with vitality, joy and compassion. Herein lies the essence of yoga.
There are a vast number of tools in this ancient tradition that can ease a sense of separation from body, mind or spirit- Postures (asana), Breathing (pranayama), Meditation (yoga nidra) being a few. Classes and workshops can be a great introduction or a way to explore particular practices in depth. Individual sessions are ideal to help tailor the practice and benefits of yoga to your specific needs.
